This is what happened last week. I woke up in the morning and it was bizarrely quiet. Actually I realize this the night before because usually I heard a sound of chatter, laughing and gun fight from a video game played by the guy next door. But that night, nothing, not even a sound of footsteps. The next day I look out my window and found out that the parking lot in front of the building was empty. Around noon I receive a call from my friend asked me to hang out at his place. I started my journey to his place and along the way there was not a single car on the road, it was empty and no one was there. I asked myself what happened to this place and where is everyone? It was a week break and everyone was gone. I have the whole floor to myself. At first it was great, I can turn on the music or watch movie as loud as I can because I won’t bother anyone, and I can run around the hall because nobody cares. As days passed by, I end up doing the same thing over and over again wishing it will end soon. Now, it does end and wish I have another week. I really need to plan ahead for the next break so I won’t bore to death

The best movie I have ever seen

I have watched lots of movies, there are good and bad movies. As I can remember the best movie I have watched would be “Life” a drama comedy starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence ,a guy from Bad Boys and Wild Hogs. It a story about two strangers undergoes a life sentence because of a murder that they did not commit. The whole movie tells a story of their life in the prison camp. What I like about this movie is maybe because of the cast, Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence make a good team, they both funny and they know what they are doing. This movie is not like any other prison movie where there always a fight, riot, and violence, as the title says, this movie is about a life of two strangers become friends as they need each other. They grow together as we can see their getting older as the story goes and Eddie Murphy can do any character that are given to him as he did a good job being an old man in this movie. Apart of a funny movie this movie also conveys a message about friendship and determination. Friends don’t betray each other and giving up is not an option if you wanted something. These two friends they do not give up trying to escape the prison camp even though they fail each and every attempt.

Journal #6

I am supposed to write a journal but I don't know what to write. Maybe I should write about what happened last week, but nothing happened, it just same as any other week. Should i write a respond to a news paper article that I have read, but I did not read any newspaper last week. What should I write? Ms Weber said I get to choose any topic for the journal. Maybe I should write the process of finding a topic for my journal which ends up with none. I have no idea and that is a problem with me, I am too lazy to find an idea for a journal and I wrote this a few minute before class. This is too short I hope Ms Weber will accept it as a journal.

Student, alumni keep the 'home' in the Homecoming, Oct 16

It is about what the student should do to make this homecoming a great one although it is not a celebration for student. The writer persuades the student to join and enjoy the celebration and be nice to the alumni. The writer did that by writing that the student will someday become alumni and return to Ames and make the reader think that do we want our homecoming to be a bad memory because of the current student. The writer method was a success because he/she relates the story to the readers. It made the readers think and acted accordingly to avoid what the writer just wrote in the article to happen to them

Grooving on 'Guitar Hero' by Tom Hummer, Oct 16

The article is about the writer disagreement from a statement that playing video game called 'Guitar Hero' which is a guitar simulation game that played using a guitar shape controller, a detract people from playing the real instrument. The writer backs his opinion with a strong argument, he wrote that if someone play 'Gran Turismo' a race car simulation why the person don’t just race real car instead. He also wrote that the playing 'guitar hero' or other similar games were similar like playing the actual instrument and lot of people started to play the actual instrument after playing the game. The writer did a good job because he back up his opinion with a good example and statistic to prove his point.

What I Like Most About American Culture

What I like most about american is their sport's spirit. They go out buy an expensive ticket to watch their favorite team, wear their team colors event hough their team is not that good. Not like some other country that I knew.

Just like what happened last saturday. I went out of my room all i see is red and yellow. the ISU colors. They've been flooding the campus town from early morning although the game started at 7 pm. It was fun seeing all the colors and all the cheering. They greet each other that wearing the team color and taunt others that supporting the away team.

There is no way i can see all this excitement back in my home country.
